Ballroom Dancing for Children from 5 Years Old in Brussels
Ballroom Dance: Standard & Latin is an introduction to the world of competitive ballroom dancing, specially adapted for children from the age of 5.
During the classes, children learn the basics of both the Latin-American and European programmes and discover the rhythms of Cha-Cha-Cha, Samba, Rumba, Jive, Waltz and other ballroom dances.
At this age, the main goal is to build a strong dance foundation and develop a love for movement. Through specially designed exercises and short dance combinations, children develop:
- coordination and a sense of rhythm;
- good posture and body awareness;
- musicality;
- balance and spatial awareness;
- concentration and the ability to remember movement sequences;
- self-confidence and the ability to interact with other children.
The programme is suitable both for beginners who are discovering ballroom dancing for the first time and for children with previous dance experience.
Gradually, children progress from basic steps and rhythms to more advanced combinations and Standard & Latin choreography.
This programme is ideal for children who want not only to move to music, but to truly learn how to dance and build a strong foundation in competitive ballroom dancing.
